Part I
There is a minimum word requirement is a total of 1,300 words. The response should be supported with a minimum of three scholarly references as well as in-text citations, using proper APA format. The references doesn’t count towards the word count!
On pages 114-118 of the text, you will find the results for four variables, HOME, ARRESTS, TENURE, and SIBLINGS. These results are the basis for the following questions:
1. For each of the four variables listed above, identify the level of measurement (nominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio) for each and explain how you reached this conclusion.
2. For the different variable levels (nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio), identify the most appropriate measure of central tendency (mean, median, or mode).
3. For the variables, HOME, TENURE and SIBLINGS, identify the correct measure of central tendency and explain why it is appropriate. Locate the values for the measure on the tables and report them for each variable.
4. Based on the data, what conclusions can you draw about gang members?
Part II
Students will discuss three measures of dispersion (range, variance, standard deviation) in depth, to include when each is best used in statistical analysis. Explain your rationale with a minimum of 250 words, supporting your discussion with two scholarly references and in-text citations.
